We’re just getting started.
Beautify Shasta was born from a passion to care for our home — and we believe the future holds even more ways to bring people together, protect our natural spaces, and build community pride. Here’s a look at what we’re dreaming about, working toward, and preparing to grow into.
Got an idea or want to help make one of these happen? Let us know!
Beautify Shasta is working on a creative, low-cost solution to help keep our parks and trails cleaner — and it starts with something as simple as a 2-liter bottle.
We're repurposing plastic bottles into free dog waste bag dispensers that can be installed at trailheads, parks, and popular dog-walking areas. Each dispenser will be filled with clean, reused produce or grocery bags for pet owners to grab on the go.
Install PVC collection tubes at popular fishing spots around the county to collect discarded fishing line and prevent wildlife harm. Volunteers can “adopt a station” to check and empty them monthly.
Work with school districts to create a volunteer requirement for graduation, helping students build pride in their community while gaining real-world experience.
Partner with local employers to recognize or reward employees who complete volunteer hours — turning community service into company culture.
We want Beautify Shasta to serve as a model for other counties who want to clean, connect, and build civic pride. One day we hope to launch:
Beautify Tehama
Beautify Trinity
Beautify Siskiyou
Each with its own local volunteer leaders but united under the same mission.
Regional Lead Volunteers
As we grow, we plan to appoint local leads or “Geo Coordinators” for each area or zip code to organize cleanups and represent their neighborhood.
In the long term, we aim to become an official nonprofit to allow for fundraising, grant writing, and expanded reach while remaining 100% volunteer-driven.
Community Education & Workshops
Create programs to educate the public about litter reduction, native plants, waterway protection, composting, and more — both online and in-person.
Have a vision? Want to help make one of these a reality?
We’re always looking for collaborators, community partners, and people who believe in the big picture.
